Somalia

This painting, inspired by the Guntiino, a traditional dress worn by Somali women, is part of my Migration series. The series reflects my view that America’s strength lies in the blending of different cultures. Each work depicts ecosystems where cultures interact and thrive through shared energy and exchange.

My goal with this series is to show that there is hope, that we can choose to support one another, and that meaning is found in our connections.
