Anniversary

Andrew wanted to surprise his wife, Nicole, for their 2nd wedding anniversary with a commissioned painting. After asking him a few key questions, I took all the information he could share and provided a sketch of the proposed painting before beginning.

Fun Fact: As tradition has it, cotton represents the 2nd wedding anniversary. This gave birth to the idea of weaving the symbolic medium through embroidery. There are other hidden meanings I applied to the the painting to deepen their story, making it really special for the couple. It's what makes this piece uniquely theirs.

“Commissioning Haena for an original piece was exciting, not to mention a very smooth experience. She asked thoughtful questions to help shape her ideas and was very open about the process. Haena added unique, personal touches to give her work special meaning for our wedding anniversary. Finally, delivery was arranged and shipped in a professional manner. We’re very thankful for her creative vision and love the artwork.”
